Comparatively Cholatse Peak is not easy to climb than other climbing peak in Nepal, requires careful ascent and experience in ice and rock climbing.

The ridge which separates the valleys of Gokyo and Khumbu which is to Taboche’s north and to the south of the pass which is being used by Sherpa as well as trekkers to travel between the valleys of Gokyo and Khumbu has Cholatse peak. One of the major attractions is the lake which lies beneath the pass.

“Cho” refers to lake, “la” refers to pass while “tse” refers to peak in Tibetan and this is what this makes up Cholatse peak which comprises of all these implying “Lake Pass peak”. This peak could be ascended from the south west ridge. This peak though not as popular as the other peaks has to offer some breath-taking views. From Duglha, you can view the north as well as the east face of Cholatse peak.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Then trek to Phakding.

Day 04: Trek from Phadking to Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for Acclimatization.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga

Day 07: Trek from Phortse Thanga to Dole.

Day 08: Trek from Dole to Machermo.

Day 09: Trek from Machermo to Gokyo.

Day 10: Trek from Gokyo to Thangna.

Day 11: Trek from Thangna to Dzongla.

Day 12: Trek from Dzongla to Cholatse base camp.

Day 13: Trek from Cholatse Base Camp to High Camp I.
