Makalu (8,463) is an isolated peak, It has proved to be a challenging climbing, as only five of its first sixteen attempts were successful. Makalu trek starts with a flight to Tumlinngtar then we ascend through Sherpa villages and cultivated fields with views of the Chamlang range in the distance and walk up the lush and beautiful Arun valley.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal; upon your arrival at Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing, preparation for Makalu expedition.
Day 03: Official works and Briefing in Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04: Flight to Tumlingtar then trek to Khadbari (1040m).
Day 05: Trek from Khadbari to Bhotebas (1730m).
Day 06: Trek from Bhotebas to Chichira.
Day 07: Trek from Chichiara to Num.
Day 08: Trek from Num to Kuwapani (1560m).
Day 09: Trek from Kuwapani to Tashi Goan (2100m).
Day 10: Rest at Tashi Goan for acclimatization.
Day 11: Trek fromTashi Goan to Kauma (3760m).
Day 12: Trek from Kauma to Dobato(3700m).
Day 13: Trek from Dobato to Nebe Kharka (4320m).
Day 14: Trek from Nebe Kharka to Sherson (4630m).
Day 15: Trek from Sherson to Makalu base camp.

Day 57: After Makalu Expedition adventure if you are interested for other activities like Safari, Rafting, Biking, Tours, Peak climbing and trekking, we can organize as your desire. If you decide to leave Nepal we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.

Base Camp Excursion, Kathmandu, Nepal always thinking about guest’s safety; it is our paramount concern whilst traveling with us. Mountaineering is an adventure tour we reach remote mountain region and high altitude. Sometime health condition of member, natural disaster, and weather condition of mountain region changed unexpectedly we cannot guarantee it. Please note that trekking / climbing guide/ climbing leader Sherpa has the authority to cancel any part of Makalu Mountaineering itinerary if it is necessary due to safety concerns, be prepared to be flexible if required, otherwise adventure crews follow the above itinerary.
