Makalu trekking is formerly a controlled trekking area of eastern Nepal, it extent five major ecological zones where can be found the lush, tropical Arun valley, dense forests or rhododendron, fir and alpine meadows that lead to the mighty Barun glacier.

Makalu (8,463) is an isolated peak, It has proved to be a challenging climbing, as only five of its first sixteen attempts were successful. Makalu trek starts with a flight to Tumlinngtar then we ascend through Sherpa villages and cultivated fields with views of the Chamlang range in the distance and walk up the lush and beautiful Arun valley.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal; upon your arrival at Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing, preparation for Makalu expedition.

Day 03: Official works and Briefing in Ministry of Tourism.

Day 04: Flight to Tumlingtar then trek to Khadbari (1040m).

Day 05: Trek from Khadbari to Bhotebas (1730m).

Day 06: Trek from Bhotebas to Chichira.

Day 07: Trek from Chichiara to Num.

Day 08: Trek from Num to Kuwapani (1560m).

Day 09: Trek from Kuwapani to Tashi Goan (2100m).

Day 10: Rest at Tashi Goan for acclimatization.

Day 11: Trek fromTashi Goan to Kauma (3760m).

Day 12: Trek from Kauma to Dobato(3700m).

Day 13: Trek from Dobato to Nebe Kharka (4320m).

Day 14: Trek from Nebe Kharka to Sherson (4630m).

Day 15: Trek from Sherson to Makalu base camp.
