Name of Mount Dhaulagiri comes from the combination of two Sanskrit words “Dhawala” (means dazzling, beautiful, white) and “Giri” (means Mountain or Peak), the beautiful mountain. First Dhaulagiri Expedition was made in May 13, 1960 by Kurt Diemberger, Peter Diener, Ernst Forrer, Albin Schelbert, Nyima Dorji and Nawang Dorji, members of Swiss / Austrian expedition team using Northeast ridge route leads by Max Eiselin. This was the first expedition supported by a fixed-wing aircraft.
Northeast ridge is the Normal Route for Dhaulagiri expedition but ascents have been made from almost every direction. Day 01: Welcome to Nepal; upon your arrival at Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and preparation for Dhaulagiri expedition.
Day 03: Official works and Briefing in Ministry of Tourism in Nepal.
Day 04: Drive from Kathmandu to Baglung, then trek to Beni.
Day 05: Trek from Beni to Tatopani (1189m).
Day 06: Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa (2012m).
Day 07: Trek from Ghasa to Marpha (2667m).
Day 08: Trek from Marpha to Yak Kharka.
Day 09: Trek from Yak Kharka to French Col.
Day 10: Trek from French Col to Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
Day 48: Climbing Period Mt. Dhaulagiri.
Day 49: Trek from Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Dhampus Col.
Day 50: Trek from Dhampus Col to Marpha.
Day 51: Trek from Marpha to Jomsom.
Day 52: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara then Transfer to hotel.
Day 53: Drive Back from Pokhara to Kathmandu Transfer to hotel.
Day 54: Free day in Kathmandu, shopping, overnight farewell diner.
Day 55: After Dhaulagiri Expedition adventure if you are interested for other outdoor activities like Safari, Rafting, Biking, tours, Peak climbing and trekking, we can organize as your desire. If you decide to leave Nepal we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.

Base Camp Excursion, Kathmandu, Nepal always thinking about guest’s safety; it is our paramount concern whilst traveling with us. Sometime health condition of member, natural disaster, and weather condition of mountain region changed unexpectedly we cannot guarantee it. Please note that trekking / climbing guide/ climbing leader Sherpa has the authority to cancel any part of Dhaulagiri guided climb itinerary if it is necessary due to safety concerns, be prepared to be flexible if required, otherwise climbing leader Sherpa follow the above itinerary.
