Druk path trek is the most scenic and popular trekking package in Bhutan. Those who opt for a short and moderate trek in Bhutan can choose the Druk Path trekking. This is a 6-day trek from Paro valley to Thimphu valley or Thimphu valley to Paro valley. In this trek, the trekkers cross the mountains in between these two valleys. 
The trekking trail passes through less populated places. The beautiful lakes on the way are the most interesting features of this trek. These forests run riot during the month of May and when the trekkers cross the chain of mountains, they can enjoy very beautiful views of the mountains as well as the valleys.
On the way of this trek one can find many temples as well as dzongs. After visiting Paro and Thimphu, thereby completing the trekking those who want to enjoy a one day excursion can go to Punakha valley and there they can visit the famous Punakha Dzong.
The best months of the year for Druk path trek are late February to June and September to December. During this trek the travelers can enjoy the scenes of lush valleys, big forests and snow capped mountains. The trek includes visit to farmhouses, sight-seeing trips to the villages and interaction with the local people to know about their culture, traditions and lifestyle.

Druk path trek itinerary
Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, after arrival at Nepal airport, our representative assists to transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu city tours and preparation for Druk path trek.
Day 03: Flight to Paro, explore around the Paro valley.
Day 04: Trek from Paro to Jele Dzong (3,480m).
Day 05: Trek from Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha (3,770m).
Day 06: Trek from Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho (3,870m).
Day 07: Trek from Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho (4,110m).
Day 08: Trek from Simkotra Tsho to Phajoding (3,750m).
Day 09: Trek from Phajodlng to Thlmphu.
Day 10: Excursion in Punakha and Wangdue valleys, then drive to Thimphu.
Day 11: Drive from Thimphu to Paro.
Day 12: Flight back from Paro to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner.
