Island Peak trek initially follows the main Everest base camp trekking route, but separates from either Dingboche or Lobuche. After exploration Everest base camp 5360m and Hiking to Kala Patar 5545m is a good acclimatization that offers magnificent close-up views of world highest peak.

After enjoying the views of Everest and surrounding peaks trekking continue descend Chhukung leaving the main trail, crossing the less used Kongma la pass. From Imja valley trek to the base camp of Island peak then prepare the high camp for the expedition of Island Peak. Journey of island peak trek begins from the famous airstrip Lukla then trek follow the classic Everest trekking route start along the Dudh Kosi, Namche Bazaar Khunjung, Tyangboche,  EBC and Kalapatthar.

Day 03: Kathmandu Lukla by flight then trek to Phakding (2,652m).

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m).

Day 05: Rest at Namche Bazaar acclimatization day.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole.

Day 07: Trek from Dole to Machhermo(4,465m).

Day 08: Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo(4,750m).

Day 09: Rest at Gokyo acclimatization day hike Gokyo ri.

Day 10: Trek from Gokyo to Thangna.

Day 11: Trek from Thangna to Dzongkha via crossing Cho la pass.

Day 12: Trek from Dzongkha to Lubuche(4,930m).

Day 14: Trek to Everest Base Camp back to Lubuche.
