Pyramid shaped Mount Pumori is situated in Everest region, and stunningly looking Pumori peak (7161m) dominates the skyline behind Kalapatther 5643m, which looks like a clump of rock on Pumori Southwest ridge. Mount Pumori peak was named “Pumori” by George Leigh Mallory, apparently means “Unmarried Daughter” in the Sherpa language.
The best season to explore this stunning peak is September to November and March to May. Mt. Pumari is technically challenging mountain offering sections of wild exposure requiring climbers to have previous mountaineering experience and with excellent physical fitness. The ascent to the Pumori is rewarded with stunning photographic views of snowy mountains including Lhotse and Everest.

Pumori summit requires a good understanding of alpine climbing techniques and familiarity with the effects of high altitude. We take the classic route along the South-East Ridge; generally three camps are set up above the base camp. Base camp will be set up at 5300m. Climb through the glaciers for approx.
4 hours and reach Camp 1 at 5700m. From Camp 1, we climb the face with 40-60 degrees slope and pass through a snow wall to reach camp 2 at 6200m. From camp 2, climb through ice walls and crevasses to reach Camp 3 at 6480m. Passing through crevasses, finally we reach the top of Mount Pumori. Pumori expedition summit itinerary has been carefully designed to allow for gradual ascend and proper acclimatization by our expert climbing guide Sherpa.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal; upon your arrival at Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and preparation for Pumori expedition.
Day 03: Official works and Briefing in Ministry of Tourism Nepal.
Day 04: Flight to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2640m).
Day 05: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3446m).
Day 06: Rest at Namche for Acclimatization hike Everest view point
Day 07: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m)
Day 08: Trek from Tengboche to Pheriche.
Day 24: Trek from Pheriche to Lobuche.
Day 25: Trek from Lobuche to Pumori and Everest Base Camp.
Day 26: Climbing Period of Mt. Pumori (7145m).
Day 27: Trek back Pumori BC to Dingboche.
Day 26: Trek from Dingboche to Tangboche.
Day 27: Trek from Tangboche to Namche Bazar.
Day 28: Trek from Namche Bazar to Lukla.
Day 29: Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Day 30: Free day in Kathmandu, shopping; overnight farewell Diner.
Day 31: After Pumori Expedition if you are interested for other outdoor activities like Safari, Rafting, Biking, tours, Peak climbing and trekking, we can organize as your desire. If you decide to leave Nepal we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.

Base Camp Excursion, Kathmandu, Nepal always thinking about guest’s safety; it is our paramount concern whilst traveling with us. Mountaineering is an adventure tour we reach remote mountain region and high altitude. Sometime health condition of member, natural disaster, and weather condition of mountain region changed unexpectedly we cannot guarantee it. Please note that trekking / climbing guide/ climbing leader Sherpa has the authority to cancel any part of Pumori climbing itinerary if it is necessary due to safety concerns, be prepared to be flexible if required, otherwise climbing leader Sherpa follow the above itinerary.
