Tamang heritage trek is an easy trail of Langtang region, Rasuwa trek offer the natural and cultural diversity of Himalayan foothills, narrow valleys. The Tamang heritage trek is an awesome trekking route in between Ganesh Himal and Langtang. The spectacular views of Langtang himal and the cultural interaction with the most welcoming Tamang people are the attractive features of this trip.
Most of the people of this area are Tamang, Tibetan origin, whose culture and crafts have remained unchanged since the begging of settlements. This place is easily accessible from Kathmandu, passes through beautiful and calm villages, amazing valleys and terraced fields.
On the way trekkers enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains and have a dip in the natural hot springs at Tatopani. The Tamang homes that are built in the local architectural style, the ancient fort and the monasteries are the other attractions.
Tamang Heritage trek is more about the untouched heritage of the indigenous Tamang people. Exploring the religion, culture, monasteries, scenic beauty of the nature, spectacular mountain views, the green meadows and lifestyle of Tamang community is the interesting part of this trip.
The trekkers who like to learn about traditional untouched traditions, culture and lifestyle will find the Tamang heritage trek highly exciting. Apart from the spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains, the trekkers can see the colorful houses of the Buddhists that have very beautiful wood carving. These Buddhists are in agriculture as well as trade and their ancestors were Tibetans.
The mountains that can be viewed from this trekking route include Ganesh, Jugal, Shringi Himal, Manaslu, Paldor peak, Chumse Danda ridge, Langtang Kerung, Langtang Lirung and Dorje Lakpa. Along the Tamang Heritage trek one can also view glaciers of varying sizes at high altitudes.
The trek to Tatopani is the longest part of the entire Tamang Heritage trek. This trek will be of 6 – 7 hours. First trekkers are descent to Thangbuchet by Bhote Koshi River. They can view the Chilime hydro-power dam also. Subsequently the trail ascends and crosses the hanging bridge, trail continues till it reaches Tatopani.
Tamang trekking starts from Syabrubesi and passes through Goljung, Gatlang, Thuman, Timure, Briddim villages. There are bathing areas in the hot springs of Tatopani. According to the local people the water in the hot springs has healing property and provides relief from pains and body aches. At the end of the trek, trekkers stay for a day in Briddim and relax.
In Briddim, they can learn more about the culture and traditions of this wonderful region. Normally the Tamang trekking takes nine days including one day for rest. Best season for Tamang heritage trek is March to May and September to December but Rasuwa trekking can arrange year round.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, upon your arrival in Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu tours and preparation for Tamang heritage trek.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi 1503m).
Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m) via Goljung.
Day 05: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m.).
Day 06: Trek from Tatopani to Thuman (2338m.).
Day 07: Trek from Thuman to Timure (1762m.).
Day 08: Trek from Timure to Briddim (2229m.).
Day 09: Trek from Briddim to Syabrubesi (1503m.).
Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu, Evening farewell dinner.
