Ganden to samye trek in Tibet
Ganden Samye trek has been one of the most famous treks, since Tibet opened for tourism in 1985. Ganden Samye trek begins from the Ganden monastery which is at a height of 4180m. The Ganden monastery is 32 km away from Lhasa by road and is above the Kyichu River. This trek ends at the Samye monastery. 
Utse is the main temple at Samye and this temple represents Mount Meru, which is center of the Universe. Trekking trail crosses two mountains and enjoy the beauty of the alpine lakes, it is one of the most beautiful trekking route in the world. Apart from being an enjoyable trip through snowy passes, lush green meadows, herder’s camp and the beautiful Tibetan villages it is regarded as a pilgrimage trip offered by the Buddhism and culture of Tibet.

The Ganden to Samye trek is however a challenging treks starts at 4180m and when it reaches Shogu La Pass, it has an altitude of 5250m. Only experienced trekkers can go for this trek without support. The trekkers from Lhaza spend one day at Ganden for acclimatization.
Ganden monastery was founded by the great Tibetan philosopher Tsong Khapa in the early 15th century. It is one of the largest and most ancient Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. This monastery is situated on the Wangbur Mountain which is on the south bank of Lhasa River. The Ganden temple is one among the three great temples; the other two are Sera and Drepung in Lhasa.
Pilgrims from all parts of Tibet arrive here and observe rituals. Ganden monastery is known for its Buddha Painting unfolding Festival. Trekking to Ganden and Samye monasteries starts with Himalayan flights to Lhasa, then explore cultural and heritage sites of Lhasa, Ganden and Samye. After visiting Yarlun valley drive back to Kathmandu crossing two high passes and amazing remote regions of Tibet.
Samye monastery is situated on the north bank of Yarlung Zangpo River. This monastery was found by King Trisong Detsen in the year 779. Samye is the first monastery with the three Buddhist jewels Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. The Buddhists from Tibet walk all the way for weeks for their pilgrimage to the Samye Monastery.
The Tibetan villages along the trekking trail are the best examples of the ancient culture of Tibet. Their lifestyle is very simple and they follow the ancient customs and traditions. The trekkers are overwhelmed with the unusual scenic beauty of these uninhabited places.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, after arrival in Nepal airport our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.

Day 04: Sightseeing in Lhasa-Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor.
Day 05: Sightseeing in Lhasa-Drepung and Sera Monastery.
Day 06: Drive from Lhasa to Ganden (4500m).
Day 07: Trek from Ganden to Yama Do.
Day 08: Trek from Yama Do to Tsotup Chu Valley.
Day 09: Trek from Tsotup Chu Valley to Herder’s Camp.
Day 10: Trek from Herder’s Camp to Wango.
Day 11: Trek from Wango to Samye then drive to Tsetang.
