The Namtso Lake trek comprises of trekking across the Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain as well as shores of the Namtso Lake. This trek starts and ends at Damshung valley. Damshung valley is 160 Km north of Lhasa. The trekkers take the Trans Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa.

From Largen La, they get down to Tashi do hermitage and then reach the Namtso Lake. The trekking trail passes through the remote regions of Nyenchen Thanglha and the Kang La pass this is at a height of 5150m.
