Hiunchuli peak is the fourth highest peak among the 33 trekking peaks of Nepal open for climbing under Department of Tourism. Group “B” category Hiunchuli Peak 6441 m located in Annapurna region at Annapurna conservation area. For those who love adventure sports, they surely understand what a fascinating experience, it is to climb the mountains and discover nature at its best. Speaking of mountains, there are some magnificent peaks which offer superb adventure to those who love trekking in Nepal.

How can we not mention Nepal as we talk about trekking since it is loaded with majestic and remarkable peaks? One such peak is Hiunchuli peak which is a beautiful peak close to the south of Annapurna. This peak lies at an altitude of 6441 meters which is discovered by Col Jimmy, climbing Hiunchuli peak could take anywhere between twenty to twenty three days. Main attraction of Hiunchuli peak climbing is panoramic views of the Himalaya peaks like Annapurna I, south, III, V, Machhapuchhare, Baraha Sikhar, Khansar Kang and Gangapurna etc.

Falling in the Annapurna range, this beautiful and splendid peak is one of the three main climbing peaks in the Annapurna sanctuary. As far as the ascent of this peak is considered then it is regarded as one of the challenging ones and the other two peaks of Annapurna sanctuary are Tharpu Chuli and Singu Chuli. The journey to this peak could be undertaken by the route of southeast face or by route of northwest face.

The Northwest face route is not a common one and has been tried by very less trekkers. Thick forests of bamboo could be found on the way in the trip to this peak and one may have to pay attention to the hanging glaciers. As you undertake the trip to Hiunchuli peak climbing you would be covering the areas like; Pokhara, Nayapul, Tirkhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Ghandruk, Chhomrong, Bamboo, Deorali, Annapurna base camp, Machhapuchhre base camp, Hiunchuli camp, Hiunchuli camp I, camp II and while descending you may cover areas like; Dovan, Jhinudanda, Pothana, Dhampus, Phedi and Pokhara.

Hiunchuli peak is technically not very difficult but there is still danger of falling rocks and to find the exact climbing route. You could begin your journey of climbing Hiunchuli peak from Kathmandu and cover the above mentioned areas. This peak would be suitable for those who have prior experience in trekking as climbing this peak is complex and it is remotely located. A ridge, rising of which is by an icy parabola bounds Hiunchuli peak climbing on the east.

Above the Annapurna south glacier moraines, the peak ascends steeply from the north. This peak though is not very popular, has some splendid view to offer. Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, upon your arrival in Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu tours, preparation for Hiunchuli peak climbing.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.).

Day 04: Drive to Nayapool then trek to Tikhedunga (1577 m.).

Day 05: Trek from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani (2675 m.).

Day 06: Trek to Tadapani (2675m.) via Poon Hill (3180m.).

Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2040 m.).

Day 08: Trek from Chhomrong to Bamboo (2340m.).

Day 09: Trek from Bamboo to Deurali (3230m.).

Day 10: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m.).

Day 11: Trek from Annapurna base camp to Hiunchuli Base Camp.

Day 12: Trek from Hiunchuli base camp to High Camp.

Day 13: Summit of Hiunchuli peak and back to Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 14: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan (2630m.).

Day 15: Trek from Dovan to Jhinudanda (1750m.).

Day 16: Trek from Jhinudanda to Pothana (1600m.).

Day 17: Trek from Pothana to Dhampus Phedi then drive to pokhara by car.

Day 18: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner.
