The walk on the icy track is indeed a challenging task. The trek goes through two big mountain passes – the 5360 meter French pass and the 5200 meter Thapa pass. Dhaulagiri is considered as one of the most astonishing mountain ranges. The trekkers will feel that they have entered into a dramatic world.
The most exciting aspect of the Around Dhaulagiri trek is that it is a thrilling exploration that reveals a lot of secrets. The trekkers follow several glaciers, cross snow capped passes; walk through the beautiful Myagdi valley, lush green hill sides and traditional villages.
Around Dhaulagiri circuit trek is towards the west of Annapurna. New trail has been built above Myagdi. Steel bridges are constructed at the river crossings. Beni is the place where the trek commences. One can go by jeep up to Darbang. The trail turns to north at Darbang, after crossing the Myagdi Khola.
Remote villages can be seen on the hill sides. The narrow paths and the subsequent bamboo jungle lead to lower base camp, the southwest part of Dhaulagiri I Himalayas. From lower base camp the steep passage goes through a narrow gorge that leads to Chonbarden Glacier. This glacier is in between giant mountains – Dhaulagiri I on the east and Dhaulagiri II – V on the west.
Here one can hear the roaring of avalanches and the sound of falling rocks. There are various base camps on this side of Dhaulagiri I. The 4748 meter standard Dhaulagiri base camp is on the north side. Dhaulagiri circuit trek is really adventurous because of the various risk factors of this trekking.
The ground is irregular at high altitudes and the danger of rock fall is also there. This makes acclimatization very difficult. Here, the temperature may go down as low as – 25 degrees. Frequent whiteouts make route-finding very difficult at Dhampus La.
The trekkers move further towards the north and reach the hidden valley which is uninhabited. Finally, the route turns to the east over the 5258 meter Dhampus La and reaches the Kali Gandaki valley. At Marpha, the trekkers take the Jomsom road. The peaks that are featured during Around Dhaulagiri trek are Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV and V, Gurja Himal, Manapathi, Jirbang, Tsaurabong, Tukuche, Sita Chuchura, Dhampus peak, Nilgiris and the Annapurna Himal at a distance.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, upon your arrival in Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparation for Dhaulagiri trek.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (830m).
Day 04: Trek from Beni to Babiyachaur (950 m).
Day 05: Trek from Babiyachaur to Dharapani (1,400m).
Day 06: Trek from dharapani to Muri (1,850m).
Day 07: Trek from Muri to Baghara (2050m).
Day 08: Trek from Baghars to Dobang (2520m).
Day 09: Trek from Dobang to Italian Base Camp (3660m).
Day 10: Rest day at Italian Base Camp (3660m)for acclimatization.
