Classic Jomsom Muktinath trek is located in Annapurna region which covers Jomsom Kagbeni and seared Muktinath temple. Jomsom Muktinath trek known as lower Mustang trek also situated in the north of Pokhara. The trekkers on this trail get exciting views of Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail, Tukuche etc. Apart from viewing the beautiful landscapes this is a pilgrimage trip for Hindus and Buddhist. The culture of this region is a mixed culture of Brahmin, Chhetri, Gurung, Magar and Thakali.
Jomsom is a trading center in lower Mustang; those who go for the Jomsom Muktinath trek take the early morning flight from Pokhara to Jomsom takes 30 minute. From jomsom trekkers proceed to the famous Muktinath Temple via Kagbeni. The rock formations on the route to Muktinath temple are spectacular. Instead of staying overnight at Muktinath, the trekkers get back to the nearby Jharkot village where one can find the traditional way of life. Muktinath is a pilgrim sight for both Buddhists and Hindus. For Hindus, this is place is for salvation. Hindus believe that those who take the holy dip in the water here attain salvation after death. According to Buddhists, their great sage Guru Rinpoche also known as Padmasambhava meditated here. This place is the source of fossilized ammonites known as “Saligrams.” “Saligrams” are found along the upper reaches of Kali Gandaki valley.
As a result this trek gives quite awesome views of the northern flanks. Jomsom trek is moderate trail not necessary previous trekking experience but good health and physical condition is required. Jomsom Muktinath trek can be accessed throughout the year. Best months of the year for Jomsom to Muktinath trek are March to May and September to December but trek can be done year round.

Day 07: Trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2010m).
Day 08: Trek from Ghsas to Tatopani (1,190m).
Day 09: Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,860m).
Day 10: Hiking to Poon hill 3210m. then trek to Tadapani (2630m)
Day 11: Trek from Tadapani to Landrunk (1565m)
Day 12: Trek from Landrunk to Pothana (1890m)
Day 13: Trek to Phedi (1130m) then drive to Pokhara (820m)
