Helambu trek itinerary for Helambu valley excursion
The Helambu trek is a short trek of Langtang region very near to the Kathmandu valley and it offers a variety of exciting experiences to the trekkers such as mingling with the local “Hyolmo” people of mountain areas and explores their culture and lifestyle, viewing the snow-capped mountains, the scenic waterfalls and enjoying the pristine beauty of the rhododendron as well as bamboo forests. 
The visit to the monasteries and view of the Himalayas at the Tibetan border are quite amazing. Helambu trekking trail is decorated by several Tamang and Sherpa villages’ spectacular mountain views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lhakpa and other small mountains of Langtang range. Hindus and Buddhists visit the high-altitude lakes around Gosaikund during the full moon pilgrimage.
The Helambu trek begins at Sundarijal, where one can reach from Kathmandu by road in 1 hour. The trekkers will be first viewing the Shivapuri National Park. From there trekking trail passes through Chisopani, Gulbhanjyang, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang.
Melamchi Pul Bazaar is the last point of Helambu trek. Major part of this trek is in the dense Himalayan forests and the trekkers enjoy the spectacular mountain views. The amazing Buddhist monasteries and the picturesque rice terraces are the other attractions of this trek. The Helambu trekking normally takes 7- 8 days; trekkers stay in lodges or tea-houses during night. Helambu trek is popular among the trekkers for its scenery, wide variety of cultures and favorable climate.
During Helambu trekking period travelers can see the verity of flora and fauna in Shivapuri National park. The trekkers enjoy the beauty of the alpine meadows and accept the hospitality of the Sherpa and Tamang people. The Helambu trek is ideal for those who have only limited time available for their Nepal trip, low altitude and perfect short hiking destination.
Though this place is just out of the Kathmandu valley, the trekkers are assured of all the excitements of a typical Himalayan trek the awe-inspiring natural scenery, the beautiful villages, the monasteries, friendly peoples, pine forests, glaciers, lakes and the majestic mountains. Best season for Helambu treks are February to May and August to December but it can be arrange in year round.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, upon your arrival in Nepal our representative welcome and assists to transfer hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparation for Helambu trek
Day 03: Drive to Sundarijal then trek to Chisapani (2215 m)
Day 04: Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2470m)
Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang to Tharepati (3390m)
Day 06: Trek from Tharepani to Tarkeghyang (2600m)
Day 07: Trek from Tarkeghyang to Shermathang (2590m)
Day 08: Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (870m)
Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner.
Day 10: After this amazing Helambu trek if you are interested for other activities like Safari, Rafting, Biking, Tours, Peak climbing or more trekking in other region we organize trip according to your desire. If you decide to leave Nepal we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.
