The Chitawan National Park is situated in the inner Terai lowlands of South-Central Nepal. This is one of the oldest national parks in Nepal and is declared as a world heritage site. Bardia National Park is in the western plain region of Nepal. This park covers an area of 969 sq km. 7: Sheyphoksundo national park
Shey Phoksundo is the largest national park of Nepal established in 1984 A.D highlights of the park are Kanjiroba Himal, Shey Monastery, Phoksundo Lake and Langu Gorge etc. Park covers an area 3,555 sq. km; buffer zone 1349 sq. km spreads Dolpa and Mugu districts in the Trans Himalayan region it is habitat of rare snow leopard, grey wolf, musk deer, Tibetan sheep, gazelle and wild yak.
